Leo XIV approves radically pro-LGBT Tagle as new dean of College of Cardinals,

Pope Leo XIV has approved the radically pro-LGBT Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as dean of the College of Cardinals.

The election of Tagle, who has been called the “Philippine Pope Francis,” was announced Friday by the Vatican press. He replaces Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re in the role presiding over the College of Cardinals.

As dean of the College, he will supervise meetings of the cardinals and help coordinate any papal transition during his lifetime.

Tagle is compared to Pope Francis in part because of his heterodox track record. He participated in the Pachamama ritual in the Vatican Gardens in 2019, has promoted a “Synodal Church,” and suggested that couples living in adultery may receive Holy Communion when he denied that there is a “formula for all” on upholding the Church’s prohibition of Holy Communion for the divorced and “remarried.”

The cardinal has also broken with Church teaching on the topic of sex. A video promoting homosexuality and transgenderism was produced under his leadership in 2017. ---More...
