Canadian politicians’ reactions to Orlando terrorist attack

Political leaders in Canada naturally reacted to the terrorist attack at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando that so far resulted in 50 dead and 53 injured. While Liberal pols reacted as expected, those political leaders who purport to be conservative also failed to mention the attack was carried out by a radical Islamist. If Donald Trump has any concerns about Canadian conservative leaders trying to emulate him, he need not worry. One of the first off the mark was Liberal MP Ralph Goodale, the minister of public safety. He said he was “shocked” by what happened. Many Canadians who are not fans of the Liberal Party took to social media to express their displeasure at the fact the person responsible for protecting Canadians from terrorist attacks would find a terrorist attack to be shocking.
