This case resonates with me because it could have been me in the same trouble within a pair of selfdefenseless jurisdictions.
Here's a thumbnail sketch of my most recent self defense scenario in the real life Gotham City of New Orleans:
Instead of shooting a burglar perched in my living room window during a 3:30am break-in two years ago, per state law, I waited out of arms length with my ballistic safety device (otherwise known as a pistol) aimed at him.
