Arcadia, California, Mayor Eileen Wang resigned yesterday after admitting she acted as an unregistered foreign agent for China, promoting the country’s propaganda.
Wang admitted to sharing content directed by the Chinese government, which included articles that denied the persecution of Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
Wang resigned from her position as mayor after the case was made public on Monday afternoon.
