DC Pipe Bomb Suspect Arrested, Facing Explosives Charges

Bongino confirmed it was forensic evidence that broke the case wide open. Same evidence that sat untouched for over four years

REPORTER: "Was there a moment you knew you had him?"

Deputy Director Dan Bongino just grinned and told the room: "Yeah, I remember the exact moment.

ADIC Darren Cox called me and said, 'Are you sitting down?' I said, 'Oh boy, is this bad?' He said, 'No... I think we got him.'"

Bongino confirmed it was forensic evidence that broke the case wide open. Same evidence that sat untouched for over four years.

Interviews ongoing, search warrants still being processed.

Translation: They're not done. This arrest is just the opening chapter. The pipe bomber never saw it coming.

Game changed.
