As the federal government shutdown drags on toward day 20, Washington is now struggling to pay some of its water bills.
A top official from DC Water, the water authority for the nation’s capital, said they received an email from the Treasury Department last week saying it could only pay about $10.5 million of the $16.5 million it owed for the second quarter of fiscal 2019, according to the Washington Post. -- More....
