Dear NFL: Pick the Rams

After 20 years without a team in Los Angeles, the NFL suddenly finds itself with three willing franchises in the Rams, Raiders and Chargers. Theoretically any or all (or none) could be permitted to move. It all comes down to who can get a three-fourths vote of the 32 team owners, and you can be sure a lot of politics and consideration of self-interest will go into the respective owners' decision on each of the three requests. But the right choice is to bring back the Los Angeles Rams. I realize there are some arguments against this, one of which is that the Rams might have an easier path to a new stadium in their existing city than the Raiders or Chargers do in theirs. St. Louis seems willing to deal, although their numbers aren't close to what the Rams want - and Rams owner Stan Kroenke didn't just buy 60 acres of land in Inglewood because he thought the stadium talks in St. Louis were going well.
