Washington state House Majority Leader Joe Fitzgibbon, a Democratic representative, has issued an apology after he was clearly intoxicated during a critical hearing.
Fitzgibbon was attending an executive session on House Bill 2289, as was reported by “The Center Square.” Fitzgibbon didn’t bring much to the table except some discombobulated and slurred speech that was so out of line that the committee chair had to call for a recess in the middle of the session so he could leave the room.
