Herein lies the problem. Most Marxist Democrats and their useful idiot followers think the United States of America’s government is a democracy. Most of today’s Democrat voters are a product of the Marxist’s American education system that indoctrinates rather than educates. All the high profile Marxist Democrats, such as the Obamas, the Clintons, the Bidens, Pelosi, Schumer, Waters, and Ocasio-Cortez speak to their minions as if democracy is the form of government in America. Except for Ocasio-Cortez, the others are old enough to know better because real history was still being taught when they were in high school. The generations that have come of age in the last 30 years likely have no clue as to the distinction between a democracy and a representative democratic republic.
