Why all the fuss over voter rolls? Shouldn't we be concerned about honest elections instead? Voter rolls are important because they determine who gets to vote, and if the voter rolls aren't clean, then clean elections are just a pipe dream.
A lot of people, perhaps most, think that voter rolls are just lists of people who are eligible to vote, and that they are administered by our county officials who make sure that only qualified voters are included. Both those beliefs are wrong.
