“Diversity is a Strength” is Just Something Stupid People Say

What has so often struck me, and irked me, about the embrace of “diversity” dogma is how profoundly unintellectual it is. A wiseguy might say it’s really a simple IQ test, though a wise guy understands it’s a soul and sagacity test. To wit:

To the extent that a person accepts as imperative diversity, DEI, CRT, wokeness in general — or whatever the latest shiny anti-Truth thing is — he is a vacuous know-nothing, not just unqualified, but dangerously ignorant.

Back when I was in teacher training, I remember being told repeatedly "no one is as smart as all of us". It was always used as a justification for group learning. The corollary must also be true: "no one is as dumb as all of us".

Anyone who has been forced to learn in groups knows that there's usually one or two kids who do the work and at least one who contributes practically nothing and wastes the group's time. This is true all the way up through college. Take a University of Phoenix "group" class and you'll quickly find that you'll have students in your group who do nothing or substandard work. Sometimes they'll just disappear at the last minute when the group is depending on them to deliver part of the assignment. Oh...and they are likely to get an A on the group assignment.

The same dynamic plays out at work, except that you may have a little more freedom to bypass the person whose work is sub-par. It doesn't take too long until everyone knows who can be trusted (usually one of the busier people) to get things done. The "dead wood" will often sit there getting by each day, particularly if they're unfireable due to a protected characteristic (and they KNOW they can't be fired). They are a drain on the system. Their positions should be (but can't be) filled by competent people.

In our "participation trophy" culture we award and celebrate mediocrity and plain incompetence while disincentivizing people who see that everyone ends up with the same raise/bonus. In academia this takes the form of tenure--a system where you get paid more for staying alive longer. I worked with teachers who had no business around kids and would joke about how the principal would be observing them and the bad review they would be getting. It doesn't take long before a young teacher who is putting in tons of hours of work learns the lesson of DEI and either gets out of education or gets the life sucked out of them so they end up in "on the job retirement"--just holding on to reach retirement age.

In other types of jobs it takes the form of a unionized workforce who is all pumped up on the union, mostly because it protects the incompetent, lazy, and unqualified from being fired.

Perhaps more insidiously, the DEI culture perpetuates stereotypes by making hard work, time management, professional conduct and appearance out to be signs of "whiteness" and oppression. It seeks to reward and normalize sloth, lateness, aberrant behavior and appearance. Yet employers embrace this because the power to destroy reputations belongs to the DEI crowd. The Marxist forces currently control the centers of power, and will ruin any business who doesn't go along to get along.

Diversity = Fewer or zero White people.

That's really the simple answer as to why this entire 'diversity' agenda was invented. It traces back to the Frankfurt School of Cultural Marxism and it's primary leading architects.

These people were never bashful or hesitant in stating that their prime objective was to engineer the complete and total destruction of White Western Civilization. To achieve this objective, the Cultural Marxists knew they must attack, demonize, vilify, defame, belittle, smear, discredit and destroy the architects who created Western Civilization - which are White Europeans. Whites had to be removed from power and from as many positions of cultural and societal influence as possible and replaced by non-Whites who have never shown any ability, or desire, to construct or to even preserve Western Civilization when it has been handed to them, such as can be seen in South Africa or Zimbabwe, the former Rhodesia.
