I don't like the Russian government but hold no ill will to the inept Russian military ... Maybe these guys aren't so inept -- but just don't really want to fight hard for Putin...the time frame for ge sequence of events isn't clear at all, but if it's rel time the pilot punched out immediately after being hit by the missile...the Sukhoi may have been fragile junk or he just said 'to Hell with it' & punched out.
In any case, it sucks to be a Russian invader right now
