Politically, there have been essentially two kinds of uprisings. Each prompted by widespread dissatisfaction and hardship.
One restores freedom and economic success.
The opposite has been malignant revolutions; exampled by brutal dictatorships in France in the late 1700s and in Russia beginning in the early 1900s.
