One shorthand rule is that a household is energy poor if it must spend more than 10 percent of its income on power. Thanks for your post on this issue.
At this time, we are still in the summer period, it's not even fall yet.
It is frightening to think of the winter to come.
And if that is (as some have suggested) more severe than "normal," the consequences could be catastrophic, right across the northern hemisphere.

I live in Ontario in Canada and yes this has been a problem here as well. This is all done on purpose, we had hydro and nuclear power the cheapest most efficient and cleanest energy, but they added less than 5% of our energy from solar and wind turbines and our rates were so high companies had to close farms were going bankrupt and our Provincial debt was bigger than most countries debt, this happened years ago and sadly our debt is still rising? Now the whole country, under the CCP's UN owned Lieberals, one worlders all, all our energy costs are rising and taxed to bits. I am an old pensioner on a government fixed pension, I will be cold this winter in my tiny old cottage if I can still afford food I might get through but not likely without help, scary but they want the worlds population gone asap. Yes One World government for the few built on our dead bodies. Hope their destructive false Utopia makes them happy.
