Fox reporter tries to undercut Trump’s UK trade deal—Leavitt shuts her down instantly.

Before the ink was dry, Fox News was already trying to spin it.

Fox correspondent Jacqui Heinrich questioned the legitimacy of Trump’s just-announced trade deal with the UK—implying it wasn’t actually finalized.

“Why did the White House announce this deal with the U.K. before all of the details were finished?” she asked.

Karoline Leavitt wasted no time correcting her.

“That’s not true. Actually, I saw the fact sheet,” she replied bluntly.

Then she laid it out: not only was the deal real, it was handled with full transparency.

“I saw the deal as well, before the president brought all of you in the Oval Office in the effort of transparency. You had the president and the Prime Minister on the phone talking to all of you directly about how this was a great deal, a phenomenal deal.”

She walked the press through the obvious: this is how trade deals work. Framework first—details follow.

“You set an initial agreement, you set the framework, you set up the deal, and then, of course, you know, T’s have to be crossed and I’s have to be dotted—but this deal is a good deal.”

Still, Heinrich pushed again—this time on the 10% baseline tariff.

Leavitt didn’t blink.

“The president is committed to the 10% baseline tariff, not just for the United Kingdom, but for his trade negotiations with all other countries as well, permanently, even after the deals are done. Like, that is going to remain.”

Trump’s position is locked in and Leavitt made sure the media couldn’t twist it.
