Consumers are now having to endure the excruciating economic pain of the country's intensifying energy crisis--brought on by decades of botched green energy policy and heavy reliance on Russian gas. Germany's natural gas reserves are emptying at record speed because wind and solar power have been on the scarce side over the past few weeks. ¹
