I have no idea if any of this is true. We weren't going to do anything with it if the story remained isolated with the Washington Post, which first published it - not to protect Moore per se, but just to avoid becoming one more conduit for every set of personal allegations someone decides to drop on a candidate.
But the story has now exploded to the point where there's not much we'd accomplish by ignoring it. It's all over the place and it's the biggest political story of the day. Moore denies it. His accuser isn't backing down. The Post, of course, "stands by its story" as media always do. That's meaningless because the Post lies without remorse to take down people it doesn't like. But that doesn't prove anything one way or the other about this particular set of allegations.The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
