Earlier this week, Time Magazine chose Greta Thunberg as their Person of the Year for 2019. Finding it totally unnecessary to explain exactly who the 16-year-old Thunberg is, constitutes some proof the magazine made the right choice.
Many people took to social media to criticize TIME’s choice, comparing it to the choice of Hitler in 1938 and Stalin the following year. Some seem to be under the impression the person or persons selected should be chosen for their goodness or positive contributions to society.
