For the last decade, the mainstream media have spared no efforts to “socialize” us, leading individuals up the politically correct garden path, towards transformation into an organized crowd.
Television used Affirmation, the press applied Repetition, and the crowd organizers relied on Contagion to “weed” out self-awareness. Suggestibility and credulity of the crowd were to facilitate throwing a Garden Party where the rulers are “alone in possessing irresponsibility, impersonality, and perpetuity” (Le Bon, “The Crowd: A Study of Popular Mind”).
Even if a large part of the audience turned out to be tough crowd that doesn´t give a toss about propaganda cookies and is capable of voting out the garden gnomes, the mainstream media are serving us “scandals” in a desperate attempt to hold on to their brainwashing power.
