In 2007, a BBC News article titled "Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013” warned readers of the supposed threat that "latest modeling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years." Which, of course, was typical for the gloom and doom scenarios that used climate misinformation to instil fear and panic into the world’s population.
