The controversial Las Vegas Museum of Organised Crime and Law Enforcement, otherwise known as the “Mob Museum”, may receive a further $7 million in funding. Steve Miller, the reputable Las Vegas journalist, who has previously shared his stories about mob rule in Sin City, as part of our series of articles on crime in Las Vegas, released details of the proposed funding, which is set to be approved by the City Council on Wednesday. So far, the Mob Museum has received over $13 million in funding, but the project, which is strongly backed by Mayor Oscar Goodman, seems to need a further $7 million in order to go ahead. The Mob Museum will focus on the battle between mobsters and law enforcement in Las Vegas and is set to open in 2011.
