Nicolas Maduro blocks incoming food for his starving people


There’s a standoff (or perhaps a showdown) taking place on the border of Venezuela at the moment. It’s not 5,000 American troops (as hinted at by John Bolton) facing off with the Venezuelan army. It’s not even the army of Colombia, though their new President has been making noises along those lines and moving some of his troops. It’s a caravan of supply trucks with food and medical supplies intended for the starving people of Venezuela, but the supplies aren’t making it into the country. The reason? Dictator Nicolas Maduro won’t allow them to cross the border.
