Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has secured a spot on the House Financial Services Committee, a panel chaired by fellow progressive Maxine Waters that oversees the financial services industry.
Ocasio-Cortez confirmed her placement in a tweet on Tuesday night, writing: “Financial Services is one of just four exclusive committees in the House. It oversees big banks, lending, & the financial sector.
