Ogden man indicted for allegedly building weapons of mass destruction; hate-crime enhancement added

Rose is being held without bail in the Weber County jail. The court document said “the State is submitting a Motion for Pretrial Detention to detain the Defendant without bail until further notice”


OGDEN, Utah, Ogden resident Skyler AJ Rose has been indicted by the Weber County Attorney’s Office on multiple felony charges related to manufacturing or possessing weapons of mass destruction.

Rose, who posted online about his desire to blow up a synagogue, court documents say, was found with six homemade pipe bombs, and another under construction, according to his Dec. 23 arrest document. He also was found with multiple firearms, at least one of which Ogden City police described as an assault rifle.
