Origins of the Modern Left in the Failure of Public Education
Eliminating a national Department of Education is only a necessary first step to correcting this near-fatal flaw in our society. The intentions of public education may have been good, but the outcome is evil. Time to try something better.

We frequently hear about how universities and colleges train people in so-called liberal ideologies, and how destructive that training is. Actually the problem starts much, much earlier. One author claims that he learned all he needed to know in kindergarten, and in one way, that may be true. In any case, while providing a good education to every child was the admirable goal of public education, some saw it as an opportunity for indoctrination in what they saw as a properly docile and controlled populace.
