A day before the Senate markup of H.R. 1 on May 11, 2021, (the Democrats' power-grab to federalize election laws in favor of progressive candidates), 124 retired admirals and generals issued an open letter to the American people warning that "[o]ur nation is in deep peril. We are fighting for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776."
Among the dangers facing the nation created by the administration's policies, the retired flag officers singled out H.R. 1 and S. 1. Without fair and honest elections, they warn that "our Constitutional Republic is lost."
