1) Last time the PLO was accepted into Jordan, it culminated in Black September and the attempted overthrow of the Hashemite monarchy. The kings have repeatedly stated they want no more Palestinians in Jordan. Rather like inviting a rabid dog into your nursery.
2) Amalgamation, absorption has been mooted for decades, but UNRWA will not give up its foreign funding and siphoning off of foreign aid.The camps exist to enable this.
3)The mythical "right to return" is the only strength despotic leaders have to keep the lucrative conflict going. How can they relinquish their oppressive power and tax free $$ ££ Euros ?
