With AAA projecting a record 61.4 million Americans traveling by car for the Independence Day holiday week, the traditional family road trip remains the undisputed champion of summer travel. A recent GSTV summer travel survey found that 83 percent of consumers planned to drive to their vacation destinations, with a large majority preparing to travel distances well over 300 miles. Despite economic pressures and the rising costs of vehicle maintenance, an overwhelming 85 percent of all holiday travelers are choosing the highway over the airport. Packing bags, mapping out scenic routes, and stocking up on snacks are standard steps, but spending hours on the road with your family requires more than just a full tank of gas. It demands a practical, proactive approach to vehicle preparation to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable on the journey.
