Private universities have no “right” to public funds

Private educational institutions have gone the direction of the dodo – toward extinction. There may be a few colleges left that refuse government subsidies and grants (Hillsdale is one) but, for the most part, the great independent colleges planted at and before the founding of this nation are no longer bastions of higher learning.
