Pro-Life Group Confronts FDA over Abortion Drug Approval

The Biden administration appealed the lower court rulings before the U.S. Supreme Court, which is expected to make a final ruling on the availability of the abortion-inducing drug as soon as this Friday.

The pro-life group Students for Life (SFL) submitted a citizen petition to the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday, requesting that approval of the abortion drug mifepristone be revoked pending further study. SFL contends that the federal agency failed to follow the law and did not adequately evaluate the environmental impact of the drug.

Mifepristone is the most widely used abortion method in the country, making up about half of all abortions, according to the CDC. ---More...
