RCMP Begins Probe Into Reports of Unofficial Chinese Police Stations in Toronto
The RCMP has begun an investigation into reports of unauthorized Chinese police stations in Toronto.
A September report from the human rights NGO Safeguard Defenders found that over 30 police stations are operating overseas, three of them in the Greater Toronto Area. They are operated by two local-level police services in China—the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau in Fujian Province and the Qingtian County police in Zhejiang Province, the report said.-- More...
