In case you haven’t noticed, Canada’s media outlets are trying to do for socialist Jack Layton, what the American media did for Barack Obama 2008. Get him elected.
The fix was in when the contents of an obscure poll in Quebec showed Layton moving ahead of the Bloc Quebecois in popularity.
Those polling numbers were soon dubbed a “surge.” You see “surge” is an action word. It has power.
