Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said during an interview on Sunday that then-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did not allow Republicans to be briefed on the terrorist threats facing the United States last year because he did not want the information to leak and damage Vice President Kamala Harris during the elections.
Britt
made the remarks during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of
the Union” when asked about the subject that Republicans repeatedly
brought up to Schumer last year. The topic comes two weeks after a
terrorist killed more than a dozen people in New Orleans on New Year’s
