Some Things Can't Be Changed

For four years, while in a position of power, Kamala Harris destroyed the security of the United States by opening up the southern border. Harris allowed between 8 and 20 million illegal immigrants into the country. But now, as the Democrat Presidential candidate, Harris says she has changed her mind and wants border security but added that her values haven't changed. Do we trust her and elect her as President?

At the end of WWII, after 6 million Jews were known to have been killed in the gas chambers, if Hitler saw the war was lost and said he had changed his mind and now loved the Jews but added that his values hadn't changed, would anyone trust him, forget his past and consider him for a Nobel Peace Prize?
