TORONTO, ON: Documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) reveal a dramatic increase to the cost of electricity to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital since 2012. The documents, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, show that in the last five years, bills for the health centre’s main campus rose from $779,835 million to $1.36 million. That’s a 75 per cent increase.
