There is a firestorm brewing over the Zimmerman/Trayvon affair. The validity of self-defense laws may be challenged. “Stand your ground” laws and “castle doctrine” laws are found in over 30 states. These laws give the right for a home or property owner to defend him or herself against an attacker without hesitation or second guessing.
