Staying connected: Navy petty officer maintains the net

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan Riedel, an info systems tech, tests the speed of the Internet, after a provider upgrade to the service at FOB Chapman, Feb. 15. Riedel helps maintain the Internet for the men and women of PRT Khowst. KHOWST PROVINCE – To his Khowst PRT teammates who work with him daily, he's known as a jack of all trades. “My job consists of everything dealing with communications,” Riedel said. “I make sure the communications systems are good on the MRAP vehicles before missions, and I’m also a network administrator for Khowst PRT.”
