Ellen Greenberger, a professor of psychology and social behaviour at the University of California-Irvine, conducted a survey of 400 university students between the ages of 18 and 25. Her findings were published in the November issue of the Journal of Youth and Adolescence.

And about two thirds of the students felt that their final grade should reflect the fact that the student was “trying”.
