Suspect shoots Florida officer, holds 4 children hostage in Orlando apartment, police say
A Florida police officer was shot Sunday night after a shooter opened fire and took four children hostage in an apartment in Orlando, police said.
Officers responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, police said. The officer suffered a “very serious injury” but is expected to survive, police said Monday morning.
