TORONTO, ON: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is committed to continuing the fight despite the Ontario Court of Appeal's disappointing decision in favour of the federally imposed carbon tax.
"As interveners in Ontario's court battle, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is disappointed that the court didn't end the carbon tax in Ontario," said Jasmine Pickel, the CTF's Interim Ontario Director. "Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's carbon tax is costly and hurts the most vulnerable Ontarians--yet it won't succeed in fighting climate change. We applaud Premier Doug Ford for fighting the carbon tax and urge him to continue this battle at the Supreme Court."
