Well, now the plot thickens, or at least gets even more disturbing, as the Director of the FBI just admitted that the file indeed exists – but they still won’t turn it over. According to Comer, FBI Director Christopher Wray told him the file exists, and he can come look at a redacted version of it, but he can’t have it or share it with anyone.
For being the man in charge of the FBI, Chris Wray doesn’t seem to understand how criminal investigations work.

Wray's situation can be turned around sharply with the accusation of being an accessory after the fact to wrongs evidenced in the report. Then it becomes personal evidence that protects the report itself. Redacting it becomes tampering with evidence; and that is a separate crime.
