Legend says that if you displeased the King of Siam, he would give you a white elephant. These rare and protected elephants were incredibly expensive to keep. So a “White Elephant” came to mean a possession that is useless, troublesome, expensive to maintain and difficult to dispose of - like a Sacred Cow, but much bigger. Today the deluded rulers of the Western world are gifting us and future generations with plagues of Green Elephants – useless, expensive, protected, green rubbish.

This has got to be the best article I have read yet out of hundreds. Written so well and hilarious, the whole subject is so ridiculous you get tired of reading them but the sour amusement here is so easy and , good to read I really enjoyed it, thank you.

Myself, hailing from Canada, I see both GREEN and WHITE Elephants; the former mostly in summer and the latter in winter. (Still trying to figure out which variety is the worse).

And, let me tell you, don’t even get me going on HYDROGEN !
It comes in even more colors than the elephants…
