How honest is the media and academia?

First, let me introduce my qualification to discuss this topic. I am an experienced trial lawyer who has examined witnesses before juries and judges in trial. I have presented evidence and tested the presentation of evidence by others in court. I have many hours of college education in media, mass communications, media psychology, news writing and statistics. I am politically educated and have a fascination with social behavior since the law is designed to shape social behavior.
