To nature, scenes like this are brief inconveniences, easily transformed in the blink of a few centuries. To mortals, they are disasters on the scale of glacial maximums and super-volcanoes. Where would we be if we had never gone through the "irresponsible" pollution and worker exploitation of yesteryear? I know, it sucks to be affected by one or more of the downsides of the methods by which industry elevates mankind - and sure, wind generators are a passing fad which distract from real progress - but we're goin' to the stars, and as Belinda Gates would say anyway, "let them eat sludge."
