I can't imagine President Trump not convincing reluctant Republican Senators to continue a populist, working class bailout like $600 extra in weekly unemployment benefits

This is Why I Bet on President Trump being a Populist.


One thing I bet on with President Trump is that he's a populist, not necessarily a conservative purist. His populism offers hope as the Congressional impasse over federally enhanced unemployment benefits hasn't been bridged while I type this post. Millions face drastically reduced resources when they can least afford it. I'm old school-socially conservative-but am a populist on economic issues. I promote putting money in the pockets of working class Americans with the same zeal crony capitalist Congressmen reserve for corporate welfare- as witnessed by big companies getting most of the first round of PPP (Paycheck Protection Plan) dollars. At least until January, 2021.
