"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." Romans 13:1 Beginning with "every soul," there is an immediate assignment of who is subject to the power of God – "every soul." This does not exempt the persons given positions of power within any government, and particularly this government of the United States of America.
