On Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will host Twitter’s Jack Dorsey at a hearing that Republican lawmakers have called “Censorship, Suppression, and the 2020 Election.”
Statista has produced the following graph to indicate the extent to which Twitter censored free speech during and after the elections:
Very concerning:
• 300000 tweets—0.2 % of total US election tweets—labelled by Twitter “to combat election misinformation from October 27 to November 11”
• 74% of users viewed these offending tweets anyway even after Twitter had labelled them
But wait— notice that strange stand-alone entry on the graph:The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
