Two suspects were killed and six police officers were injured in a shootout at a Saanich bank Tuesday, an incident the district’s police chief said was unlike anything he’s seen in his 27-year career. Saanich and Victoria police officers and members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team were called to the Bank of Montreal in the 3600-block of Shelbourne Street at around 11 a.m. Tuesday following reports of armed men entering the bank.-- More...
