USA Today is starting to "phase out" its print edition for the first time in its 37 years, a report said Wednesday, as the newspaper's publisher denied that hard copies of the paper would go away entirely.
"Two knowledgable sources" told the Poynter Institute that as part of a "major restructuring" within the company, a "move away" from the print edition is in USA Today's future as Gannett, which owns the paper, is being acquired by New Media Investment Group. -- More...
