A HUGE blaze has broken out following an explosion at the University of Lyon in France, leaving three people injured.

Dramatic video footage shows flames and smoke billowing from the Mendel building on the LyonTech-la Doua campus in Villeurbanne. The fire started this morning when a gas bottle exploded in the roof of the building which was being renovated. The building was evacuated and three people were injured, officials said.
